welll desi refers to anyone born in 1 of 4 countries:

pakistan
india
bangeladesh
and sri lanka.....

im pretty sure they will accept anyone though :)

A desi is any one born on the indian subcontinent...Sri lanka is an island off the coast of India, so it is part of the indian subcontinent. Thus anyone who is from sri lanka is considered a desi. :)

Humm.. I was saying it in the context of the word desi itself. Paki's, indians and Bangladeshis have it in there language but srilankans don't..
